150 Gal (48") VS 125 Gal (72") - PLEASE VOTE

Hello All,

I am in a situation where I can get:

1) Tenecor 150 Gallon (48") setup

2) UNK 125 Gallon (72") setup

for the same exact price.

What is the preferred size?

Both are acrylic with acrylic stands and canopies...

It really depends on your stock and where are you going to place the tank, but i would chose the 150 b/c you get more space and more width.

6' 125g would be better for cichlids

4' would be better for a single big fish

Is the 150 4x2x2.5 and the 125 is 6x1.5x22"?

I voted 125 because it has more swim area which most fish will benefit from (9 sqft vs 8sqft on the 150)

now if you were going salt, the 150 would be it hands down.

I personally prefer width over height or length, and the fish do too.

can you get the best of both worlds:

72" 150g (72x18x27 or 29 depending on the manufacturer) tanks are common..

just a thought.

if its just between those two though, I would get the 150g tank. more volume is a good thing.
