BTW it is much more easy to light the 150g b/c its 48 inch so instead of buying two light you buy one long one and save money. I just got a 260watt 48 inch of for my 55 gallon of ebay for $100 which is cheap compared to buying 2 36" hoods that provide as much. So go with the 150g. BTW how much are you getting it for?, i am interested in one.

definitely go 150 for salt the viewing of it alone would be worth it as you can stack the LR high and still have room above it for the fish to swim freely, making for quite a nice show.

this might sound strange... but would you guys try to match the stand to the kitchen cabinets (tank will be placed near the kitchen)?

the 125 is black acrylic stand, while the 150 is white acrylic stand..

My cabinets are white...

I may be a little bias but I say match it. This is my 240 next to my kitchen :D

As for the size...hard to vote...either is good like everyone says but after keeping reefs for 10 years I would say the 150 solely for the 24" front to back. But I would really get a 180 6x2x2....

Very niceeeee

If it were me I would hold out for a 180. My thinking is to cram the biggest tank u can in the space u have. Otherwise you will always say...I wish I had gone bigger.

Yeah I just messed up your poll decision. :grinno: I agree with NOLAGT on this one. If you have the room for a 6' tank get it up there as wide and high as you can. That is why I bought my 225. I like 6' tanks better any day. Even for salt. $1,000 is allot of money and you could find a used tank deal if you hold out. I bought my 225 marine ready (tank, stand, lights, fish, sump, closed loop with pump, sand etc...) for $750.
