Yeah I just messed up your poll decision. :grinno: I agree with NOLAGT on this one. If you have the room for a 6' tank get it up there as wide and high as you can. That is why I bought my 225. I like 6' tanks better any day. Even for salt. $1,000 is allot of money and you could find a used tank deal if you hold out. I bought my 225 marine ready (tank, stand, lights, fish, sump, closed loop with pump, sand etc...) for $750.

Agreed, but I am having a difficult time finding good deals on CL...

Also, I live in Manhattan with no car, so whenever I purchase a tank, I need to pay for a moving company or a U-haul, which makes things more expensive...

Thank you tho - the poll has remained even since the start of this thread

I have a van, and I wouldn't mind helping you pick it up. Definitely would be alot cheaper than movers or uhaul.

Thanks man, that is a great deal and an awesome offer. Appreciate it.

I want to stick with Acrylic tho, I know, being picky. I just want to make sure I pick up the tank I will be happy with from the get go.

Does it make a difference that the 150 has an internal filter...

Simplicity Plus Internal Filtration - Simplicity Plus filtration is available on most standard Tenecor aquariums. Simplicity Plus aquariums are a Tenecor original design in which the filter is built into the tank. This system allows for easy set-up and low maintenance with no external plumbing, clutter, or leaks. Simplicity Plus aquariums are ideal for fresh or saltwater use and are designed to accommodate the maximum amount of bio-media for dependability. Quiet and reliable, Simplicity Plus aquariums have added a new dimension to the hobby and set a new standard in value. Simplicity Plus aquariums come complete with bio-media, powerhead(s), pre-filter sponge, and centipede returns installed at the factory.

150 definately if you are doing salt water. I didn't see the saltwater thing before voting.

When you put up a poll, your asking for our opinions so please just take mine for what it's worth. ;)

I think you should stay away from that tank for that very reason. Internal filtration tends to take up valuable tank volume and you loose the depth you where hoping for. Internal filtration also limits the ability to add aditional equipment like a bigger skimmer etc if you ever decide what you have is not enough. I have never planned a tank "just right" and always end up needing to upgrade something larger after the fact. Internal filtration can and more than likely will limit your current/future options.
