150 Tall Set-Up

I've got that exact sized tank for my Flowerhorn. The only bad part is it's so deep it's hard to reach clear down to the bottom (and I'm female with short arms). I have to use one of the looooong gravel syphon things. It's a great viewing tank though.

you got a picture of the tank? I just wana see some decoration ideas...I have my idea planned in my head, just curious to see some other ideas
Here you go, I just took one for you. The plants are all fake and there's a huge piece of driftwood in the middle. I tried to get tall plants that went all the way to the top. There's a Carpintis that lives in there with him but he hides from the FH most the time.

i love the big piece of driftwood, i plan on doing a driftwood center piece as well, I plan on doing about 1/4 to 1/2 as much plants...im debating atm about using either all black gravel/sand or going with river stone and river rock pebbles style, to give it more of a natural look, i know gars live it mud/sand but still...i dont want the gars colors to be washed out due to lighter substrate...any ideas?

its weird seeing the tank stocked, just doesn't look as big in the pictures...i like the rock pile in the middle. I like the look of cichlids since there active, im trying to figure out which i can keep, i want some that dont get to big and arent aggressive, maybe they will breed for feeders or trade for store credit for food or something, convicts i think would work but im wondering if there is anything else?

In a tank that deep if you want black sand (which looks real nice) I'd get a few Geophagus or a school of Loaches for the bottom. Some sort of sand-sifter to keep the bottom free of uneaten food since it's such a pain to reach clear to the bottom to syphon. I'd definitely go with some sort of sand for the bottom and not gravel or stones. Way too much gunk to get caught down at the bottom with anything other than sand. (my opinion).

The last fish store i worked at had a 300 gallon display tank with an 18 year old Clown Knife, and he was 28". So you have plenty of time to figure it all out.
