150 Tall Set-Up

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The last fish store i worked at had a 300 gallon display tank with an 18 year old Clown Knife, and he was 28". So you have plenty of time to figure it all out.

Er...you are assuming it took 18 years to get that big, where it likely took about 5 years (maybe less).

either way as long as its 2 years at least...then im golden, i do plan on feeding well and keeping them nice, fat and happy...I picked up some random river style stones, there kinda ghetto though and most arent really smooth and round, so im going to pick through them for some nicer ones...being winter there isnt a lot of supply for any garden work, i may have to just go with black sand...i can get tons of small river rocks from the dollar store for like $1 for a pound of 1/2-1'' pieces, might be cheaper to just get 2 bags of black sand...

GOT THE TANK TONIGHT!!!!
Set it up in the dinning room of my apartment, it looks HUGE!!! It crazy big for my apartment...Tanks dimensions are perfect
Anyway I only got the one shot since there isnt much to see right now, water still a bit cloudy from filling...
Hopefully shoot a few more tomorrow then as I continue to get it finished up with the stand, canopy and what not....

12 Volt Man its a Miracles to btw

interesting. it must be an older miracles tank. they have been using exclusively black silicone for a long time now, unless you special order one with clear..although that could have been done I suppose.

miracles makes great tanks. congrats!

Looks really nice man.
Way to go!!!

One thing I wanted to share was watch with the convicts with the ornate. Breeding cichlids can really put some stress on bottom dwellers.

The tanks label up in the corner says it was made in late 2008 so the tank is a bit over a year old, I assume the recently switched to black silicone, would have looked nice but I can handle the clear, its not discolored or worn so I am extremely happy with the tank.

As for the convicts I'm not entirely sure about them yet...my girlfriend, after s******g a brick last night when she got home, after calming down asked me if we could get some nicer looking fish that swim around....I'm having a hard time trying to figure this one out....I don't want something that will get chomped down by the Gar
