2 Gallon nano tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If you did your research, you'd be very aware most of your choices (especially the puffer idea) are bad choices for that tank. It is much easier for him to fail with that tank, than with the proper housing for those fish.

She doesnt want to hear it, she just wants to hear how great her idea is. Two gallons isnt a tank, its a water bottle.

Why not work backwards--see what he really likes at the store & get a suitable tank to fit it?

Thank you so much for your friendly and helpful response.....there is no need for that. I wouldn't post if I wasn't looking for advise

Sorry, guess that was a bit rudeish, I hope it works out for you. I had an ex get me a tiny betta tank once, if that had been my only experience I might have never got into fish again.

Is your boyfriend the kind of guy that might be into fish? Everyone likes fish tanks, but not all want to deal with the hassle. I assume he's checked out your tanks, how does he respond to them?

why the hell does every one keep pushing saying get a 5 or a 10g or you will fail
at the end of the day a lot of people have had success keeping 1g-2g nanos with fish as long as you don't slack with water changes and fully cycle it first you should be fine

pls no goldfish even if your upgrading

dwarth puffers 1 would be fine in a 2g heavily planted nano

other options
white cloud minnows ( 3-4 )
zebra danios ( 2-3)
neon tetras (3-4)
otto ma by 1 max

their are loads of other options the possibility's are endless
