2 jardini in one tank?

sorry i forgot to post up for your guys. i've been busy for the last few days and i been trying to come up with the new blue print for room. im trying to fit a small pond in my room its 5x4x3 L/W/H. im trying to come up with a new way to put it in my room so i can enjoy the jardinis and catfish when they get a little bigger and i might have to move my 120g outside in the living room. it might my right next to my bed, if i roll over i might end up in the pond xD but im trying to make it so that that wont happen. the reason why i want to put the pond in my room because i love the jardinis and i want to see them every morning when i wake up

so far so good guys. the jardinis are getting along nicely few times i see them sizing but they just split way and swim off and sometime they swim in pack and it look great. they sometime fight over food when i feed them lol. yes my catfish have been growing lately but it showing no interest in the jardinies. i have been feeding raw market shrimps and i always make sure my catfish have a full belly. when he get full he get very lazy it eat about 3-4 of the market shrimp every time.

If you plan on keeping them together long term, that rtc is most definitely going to outgrow and eat them... Jars simply don't grow fast enough, and the cat already has a head start, and jars are sleek fish. Perfect to fit in a cats mouth, not to girthy but good in depth. Imo your setting the cat a nice expensive meal. I've never heard of cats coexisting with a fish they can fit in their mouth...

I too think this is a massive gamble , and if or as soon as he manages to grab/eat one he'll most certainly go after the others , keep a close eye on him and keep his belly fully loaded with shrimp "never trust a catfish"

Glad to see the jardini getting along so far , bit I also think you'll end up with a battle on your hands once they hit 10-12"+ , one of them is sure to have to jardini phyco killer instinct and once that kicks in theres not much that can be done with regaurds to tankmates

Mine are fine. I got 2 large jars together with 3 large silvers. Theyre all fine

I think he's gonna need a bunch of dithers as well since here all jars, if it was one jar and say 2 silvers it'd be better, but he got 3 of the main aggressor species so it's bound to happen, he's gonna need to overstock it with dithers imo and have them as the main attraction obviously.

yes i did planted that out too. as you guys told me before i've been keeping my eyes on my catfish to see any aggression. if they can actually coexist with each other then that would be great. if they cant then i will have to move my cat to my bigger pond and in there the smallest jar is around 2'4 right now. hahahaha yes i have. i always wanted a to see a pack of arowana specially jardinis swim around. but i outside to see the old tank that the jar was in and if i want to see the pond i have to run into the other room a bit of work hahahaha. but now i have that jardinis in my room and every morning i wake up i see them. eventually they will grow big and i want to make a little small pond in the corner for them and still have room for me to walk around. i dont have to get out of bed to see my jardinis. i really hope that the cat and jar can get along if they can that would be really great. so far i do see a little bit of aggressiveness when they get hungry but nothing too serious. as for the cat when he get full he wont even move xD hopefully when the jardinis reach 10" i have the pond ready for them. right now they are about 6 inches. as right now i dont know how im going to make the pond in my room and i can still walk around without problems.

if you guys are wondering my other pond is L/W/H in ft 22/12/3 in inches 264/144/36 its almost 6000 gallon. it was originally 2 rooms but my family doesnt use those 2 room and they are near each other so i asked my dad to help me take out the walls and make it a giant room so i can build a fish pond in there lol. at first he wasnt really happy about it but after i completed everything and put the fishes in and put the plants around the pond. he liked it, when our relative come over they would chill in my pond room instead of the living room. i have a small round table and 4 chairs in there so i can chill and watch my fish in there. our family is only 3 people we dont need that much space so i rip almost half of the house to build that pond lol.

Jardini arowana are pretty aggressive it depends on the temperament but even with larger tanks they may still fight it just isn't a risk worth taking honestly you could lose one or both if it gets extremely bad
