2 kids in a LFS

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Since I'm into photography and all, I just sit infront of tanks for long periods taking pics, and man do I hear alot of crap!

one kid called an eel a snakefish whatever that would be
and the clownfish (AKA nemo) whenever I hear nemo behind me I point at the sign with the huge "CLOWNFISH" :irked:

I was in Petco today. This lady brought in 3 dead albino scofoldis. Petco gave her money back and she got three more about an 1" long. The whole time she was talking about all of her other africans that are 3-6".

Poor fish.

recently i went looking around in the lfs and this guy and his daughter looked at the fahaka and were like,"look!what a cute fish!lets get it so our fish can play with it!"
and i was laughing.
so they actually bought it to keep with there guppies or whatever...

If you think working in a fish shop introduces you to some of the dumber folks in society, I challenge you to spend an afternoon at the gun shop I help with computer stuff (auction listings, etc)

the other day i walked into a newly opened aquarium and saw an 8 foot tank with one ocar in it, and above the tank was a sign that said chiclids. i asked if that was all they had, the man there told me "well we used to have some venustus and electric yellows but the oscar ate them all" at that point i turned around and left the shop

What store was it? And just because the oscar ate 2 fish doesnt mean you should turn your back on it. Oscars commonly eat smaller fish and its an easy thing to judge wheather the oscar would in fact eat the smaller fish or not.

btw mystix i belive he left because the person waqs stupid enough to put smal;l cichlids with big oscars

at the lfs/petstore(i only go there to buy mouse litter bt usually pop by the native aussie section to look at there fish and usually by something i dont hasve. anyway the majority of the employees there lnow there stuff. but some of the 12 year olds run around playing tuiggie(tag is what its called in america) and running round(theese are employees) smashing stuff and bumping in to stuff. anyway this day i had bought all my stuff and i went there to check out the native section and here was some kid 12 yea old serving an old lady anyway heres i dialogue to the convo:

I dont see any size of the fish listed. A 10" oscar would quite happily live with a 3-4" stocky fish, but another oscar at the same size could eat that fish. Sh%# happens.
