2010 RTC Growing Contest

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Tank will be getting a new home tomorrow when I pickup a 120 gallon tank. I am getting 2 emperor 400's, custom sump with wet/dry, 2 heaters, and strip light all for $250. Will let the tank cycle for a week or so and then let him free. I will update his progress tomorrow with pics and his length.

I mean ten gallon but I'm getting a 40 or 29 witch should I get and I have to wait till my mom gets home with her camera

Go for the 40g. Bigger is always better, and it gives you a little more time to upgrade. ;)

40 gallon will last about 3 months tops. My cat has grown from 2" to 9" in less than 2 months.

Hey disk how's ur rtc coming? And how is the hybrid does he grow noticeably faster

Got tanks new tank today. 120 gallon with a 30 gallon custom sump and 2 emperor 400's. He should be happy in there for a year or so. The filters should keep the water pristine.

Update 7-27-10:

Size: 5"+
Diet: Tilapia, Bloodwrms, Flounder, Earthworms
Tank: 55 atm, with the hybrid

He Andy he is doing better, however he somehow injured his eye in the pond, so I moved him and the hybrid into a empty 55 to grow a little more and heal up, his growth is starting to pick up again, and I found he has taken a rather loving to flounder fillets, very very strong sented fish, I am going to try and get him to hand feed with this. The hybrid is growing rather quick and catching up to the RTC, he is about 4" right now, was a little under 3" when I first got him, he is getting more girthy than anything. Hope to hear some more updates from everyone else, and hope mine gets his crap together and starts to grow like a weed again. Oh also the IDs I have a growing like dandelions! They are getting very fat and very large after only a week or so of having them. Will get picks of them up sometime soon also. I am not on as much no becasue I have to work crazy hours, but just wanted to stop in and let everyone know how I am doing and how my fish are.

Thanks,
Kevin

Today's update:
Size: 4.7"
Diet: Cod, Market Shrimp, Bloodworms
Tank: 20g
His eating habits have been a bit off lately, I think it's either from a slight temperature drop (fixed that, we'll see tomorrow) or the tank size. Luckly they are moving out of it once I get my other tsn.
