Well I use sumps on all of my large tanks and am not much a canister fan, so no I can not tell you.

well its rated at 563 g/h without media (weird huh). i have bio-max in all 3 trays but i dont think its much less from 563 g/h. the pump output is 925 g/h...

so i got the 3rd bag of pool filter sand in. water conditioned and i got the canister running too. still kind of cloudy. the sand just has to settle and then i can even out the sand. the sand is 1 1/2-2" deep. gotta give the tangs some play! i still gotta mount my visi-therm stealth heaters and get more lava rocks and put them in. this week im gonna start the cycle with some bb from my other tank and lots of gold fish and possibly cycle for 2-3 weeks just to be safe.

Nice setup, i like the way you did the FX5. Is the FX5 going under the cabinet or will it stay behind the stand?? BTW, just finished my 210, check out my threads!

i planned it out to have the fx5 under the tank but it worked out to just leave it behind the stand.

Just an idea, it might be better to turn the filter off and do water changes to remove the cloudiness. The sand grit can wear down your impeller and create a lot of noise.

You can even plumb the lower bulkhead to drain the cloudy water and connect another hose from the tap to one of the return bulkheads. :headbang2

When the water is clear, reconnect your (cleaned) fx5. Add water conditioner, turn the canister filter on.
