240 Gallon Build thread

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Anyone on here built a wet dry sump? That's the route I would like to go, unless there is a more efficient sump route. just not sure how to build to tower for the pot scrubbers ect.

It will be 40-60 gallons

I know their are some good threads on here with people making them out of those stackable storage drawers but I just bought mine from eshoppes. I really liked their wet/dry set up and didn't feel like drilling all those holes lol

Yeah I've seen some videos on those, makes me uneasy maybe of possible leak or something? I like the tower to be on full piece.

I did check out those Eshopp sumps a while back, but like $300 is much more than I'm looking to spend

Yea I can understand that. 300 dollars is a testament to how lazy I was lol.

I'll see if I can get my hands on some cheaper acrylic pieces. I may just make the tower out of acrylic and rest easy. Don't wanna wake up to a leak. Worst would be if the canisters leak because they could basically drain the whole tank down

For the size of sump max I can have so I can still have some wiggle room to adjust ect.. Is

39" L X 22" W X 18-20" H
