Well they can't all be winners I guess. it looks solid enough to me, though admittedly I know squat about acrylic tanks. and excepting the crack of course.
Buddy I'm not trying to be rude. It's just hard to help when there are no pictures of the damage.

While I do know a couple fellow club members that have used belt sanders for big acrylic tanks, I probably would not suggest that. To me it just seems like it would be too easy to get carried away and remove too much material too quickly with a belt sander. I used a little $25 1/4 sheet sander for mine and seemed much more controllable for me without worrying about removing too much at once.
Belt sander is not a good idea.it leaves to many directional scratches no matter the grit of paper
noted on the belt sander. I think I'm just gonna use the buffer on it. the scratches don't look too bad after I cleaned it a bit.
