That is indeed a true freshwater moray eel. I havent owned one myself but i have seen a couple over the years at different fishkeepers

Fully mature iridescent shark need a pond. Sure someone will tell you it's ok until the fish outgrow's the aquarium and you may not be able to even give it away.

Not really expert in gars but they are a good combo with polys, they actually like to pile with the LJ. I wont trust them with UJ tho.

Datnioids are always fun to have but thats like playing on lotto. Either you get an interactive stable fish or your get an fish that stays dark and up in the corner. At least with datnioides microlepis (IT) with polota (AT) for example you will prob get a fish thats interactiv and shows its colors. But there is a debate on them being brackish
