Wall wrap is plastic and was free from a friend. Should be good to protect the drywall from any splashes. The psychedelic nature, colors, and pattern are slowly growing on me
Next step is to build a wood frame around the entire thing and line it with some cheap clear painters plastic. I want to eventually get it all spray foamed to better insulate it, but at this point I just want water in it. I’ll insulate between the studs in the meantime with foam sheets and some sort of concrete or vinyl exterior siding.

I have 90% or so of the plumbing in pieces awaiting final lengths and assembly. Gluing things up in my tiny kitchen was a pain.

My House!
Would love to see this finished, cool project.

Since nobody has asked yet, can we see some pics of your newts? :)
If you already have a thread on them can you please point me there? :D

I was confused for a minute but I get it now....lol
A kid is planned in the two years, one of the requirements I had in my mind is for the project be toddler safe. So no exposed plumbing or wires, nothing that can be pulled down, etc.

This frame lets me do all of that and keep it more show worthy.

Frames finished, need to do some work joining them, want to finalize the plumbing between them first though.

Everything fits, that’s a plus, now to start final assembly and plumbing. The 5 drawer sterilite I’ll be using as a trickle filter was a pain in the butt to find but I think it will be really nice having the additional 2 short ones and a frame pre-built.
