Just wondering what's the noise level like on a setup like this? Wondering if the wood tank and sort of openness of it effects anything, the fans, and then the usual equipment.
Anyway, it looks amazing. Thanks so much for the DIY too. I'm sure it gives lots of other people ideas, me included.

Yeah, I emailed him about the rail system he used for the doors, I'm going to swipe that for mine. John

Awesome DIY thread that covers a whole lot of stuff (should be a STICKY).

Just an incredible tank to watch come together over the progression of the thread. Excellent craftsmanship. You should be very proud.

Sorry - hadn't visited the thread in a while. The setup isn't too loud. There's a constant sound of trickling water but the sliding doors do a pretty good job of keeping the sound contained. The fans are probably the loudest part of the setup but I have them slowed down a bit with a fan controller, which keeps them a bit quieter. The ultrasonic humidifier that creates the fog effect is also pretty loud but that only turns on for about 30mins a couple of times a day.

I'm really impressed with how quiet the Velocity T3 pump is. It's almost hard to tell it's even on.

The_Deeb, how is the Styro covered with drylok holding up? Is the Styro leaching into the water? Do you notice anything strange with the water parameters?
