Lol glad I went with the externals. But the left I've tightened a few times just a little more and I think I got it now. The last time I walked in it wasn't leaking at the seam anymore but between the nut and threads. But it's just a drop not like a trickle. Looks good now for the last 15 minutes so we will see

Is ply wood making it harder to tighten ? Too small of an area or is ot touching the nut ?
 
Checked before work this morning and there is no crack on the bulkhead. But I did take a measurement of the distance between the pipe and the back of the tank and it varies once it gets towards the bottom. Towards the bottom of the tank when it goes underneath is 1.75" away from the back panel while at the top closest to the bulkhead is 2". Could this be the problem
