I would say only if its touching the tank, doesn't sound like it should be. Maybe it got "warped" ? Id say try replacing it..... unfortunately.
Thats what I am thinking I am going to have to do. If I replace it I am ripping both sides out and scrapping the pvc for hose since its much easier to replace. I just wish this leak showed up during the initial leak testI would say only if its touching the tank, doesn't sound like it should be. Maybe it got "warped" ? The hole is bigger on the one I am having problems with but should not be causing this much trouble. I am really leaning towards ripping it out and replacing itCall chris see what he says. That overflow is similar to the eshopps overflow im using i'll try and take the same measurments and see if theres a difference.
Its a great light you'll love it.So I am deciding to scrap the 2" pvc overflows and replace them with 2" hose. Unfortunately nobody has 2" bulkheads around me so I ordered two from Jehmco since I live like 25 minutes from them. Wish I could just pick them up from them. Those will be here tomorrow. Same with the lights. Ordered two 36" Finnex Planted 24/7 SE lights
I cant wait to put it up. The tank looks horrible right now since its pitch black and no water running. will make me feel better once its all up and running! Its a great light you'll love it.
you mean like running a bead around the outer edge of he bulkhead after it's tightened? You can always add a bit of silicone to the bulkhead when you install it for some extra assurance that it won't leak.
