The chimes place I get food from recently tried to set up a tank. I say tried b.c after the pet store told him to add ph down and then wait a week he did not leave the tank running.
so I told.him to clean it out. And he did. I gave him some cycle start To add. He then tells me he is going to nyc to get the 4. "Dragon fish". I tried to tell him he should wait and that they need.a.much bigger tank.
But in the end he will do what he wants and wont belive me.
I also don't think he will acclimat them right.

How long do you guys think they will live? Or any other advice on my situation.?
Ps did this on my phone so don't hate the grammer

I know of a CHinease restaurant I go to...........They own a 55g, 4 foot tank...........They grew a Silver in it for more than 5 years..........The fish looked fine.............The only thing I saw flaw was a small case of the drop eye.............

Fail to see how a 30" fish in a 48" tank could look fine :screwy:

Thirty inches?

When did I ever say Silver Goby? Try reading man, clearly says "Dragon Goby". Plus I'm going by his first post, which stated that he was buying four "Dragon Fish", never said Arowana, he just guessed according to the first post. Use your head before you smart off

OP said silver aro 3 posts before yours. Take your own advice.

And OMGFISH was saying that he said they were SILVERS, and there is no such thing as a SILVER goby, so it had to be a SILVER aro.

See below...

it'd be nice if you could get some local MFK'ers to all come out & offer to buy them... wonder if he'd turn down a group of monster keepers wanting them XD poor aros. this is a pretty awful story, i hope the condition changes for the little guys&he smarts up before they all die horribly :\

Good idea on paper, but realistically, what would stop the owner from getting more...

Best way to probably convince them this is a bad idea is to use reverse psychology on them...

ask them if they are getting it to bring good fortune to the restaurant, and if they say yes, then say wouldn't one or more of them dying within a few weeks be considered bad luck? if he again says yes, then you could go on to explain how this is a very likely situation with 4 large fish in a small tank and go from there...

Being half Chinese i know all about how people are when it comes to superstitions in Asia... and the only way to convince them is to explain how their idea is flawed and how it could backfire...
