Let me offer you a reality cheque.

Go outside and take a look until you see someone in a wheelchair or with a seeing eyedog. Then go to them and ask them if they would like to trade places with you.

Then see if the lack of a boat is really such a big deal in the big picture.

Now on a lighter basis. I am 43 and I experienced no down at all when I turned 40. I think the key is to remain the perpetual 12 year old, refuse to grow old inside and enjoy the day while you are alive in it.

A kayak or canoe is an easy fix as you can tie it to the top of your car if you really need a on the water fix for your fishing trips.

Dude in all honesty u dont need a fullsize boat not even a aluminum boat. Me and my pops got two flat bottom boats with motors . Guess what i fish out of most? A inflatable kyak and a inflatable ponton boat.the pontoon i use a trolling motor on so i dont have to row it. Ive had it in the chesapeake bay as well as small lakes and rivers. I love it i persoanly have this one. yeah i no its walmart who cares dude. Fishing is the love not walmart.I got mine off craigslist http://www.walmart.com/ip/Colorado-Pontoon-Boat/2584964?findingMethod=rr i put me my fishing rod all my gear a smallcooler. big enuf for a 6 pack of soda. 1 car batery a trolling motor and i can go just bout anywhere a man wants. and many places where the alum and fiberglass boats wont dare go because they sit o low in the water

He has already said he is grateful for what he has. It just sucks that he has wanted a boat all this time and doesn't have one. That's all he is saying.

yeah wow last 2-3 posts were pretty jerkish haha

I think they just took what this guy is saying the wrong way. He isn't complaining about his life, he just wishes he had a boat.

Mate, dont give in. You dont need the best of the best, you have to start somewhere.

Im 26, I have a $460,000 mortgage(house was $515,000), I dont have kids, but I have a girlfriend and kids will come. 6 months ago I bought my first boat, it's only a 4.3metre Clark runabout tinny, it has all the gagets I need(sonar, gps, marine radio, electric motor), it has a 40hp petrol motor and is very reliable - all for $4800. I also bought a 4x4 ute to tow it at the same time for $5500. Both are very reliable. It is easy to do, you just have to put your mind to it and look for bargins. P.S I got the car off ebay! lol
