Picked up some scrap pieces of white acrylic at tap for $2.70! These made killer lids for the towers.

It’s a little difficult to see but I use a drill bit slightly smaller than the hose diameter. Wobbling the bit it slowly makes an hour glass shape that Seals and holds it in place. A seal without a bulkhead

The air lines are cable tied to the return hose so the stone stays where it’s most efficient. Hugging the interior of the tower, in front of the teeth.

These towers are sealed so no splashing on the wall or bubble mist.

The last thing needed on the top was to drill for air lines. The discs will be replaced with small spheres soon. I forgot to order any.

The nozzle in the middle should make for good gas exchange and a better shine from the LED light hopefully.

Tomorrow will be drip overflow, heat, UV plumbing and hiding cables.

Good ideas on the tower lids but I have a feeling that condensation on the underside of them will creep out onto the top of the tank.

Any chance you can inset them into the tower opening so they are flush with the top of the tank? Adding 2 small strips of acrylic under the tank top to act as lips or using 2 or 4 clear mirror clips screwed through the tank top would serve the same purpose.

Great idea/point. I forgot about that and it does bother me. I want these lightly sealed so I can crank up the air as much as I want.

I'll draw a template for the holes and have them router cut. Should be super easy to mount. For less than three bucks it was worth a shot.

I regretted not running another row of clips under the intake. Where they combine was still visible. That’s fixed with another row of mounting clips

How many of those heaters are you running?

Just one 300w. It will only be on a few months a year at most. The room is heated so it will be easy to switch out if it doesn’t work out.
