I messed up while painting the stand and we had to paint the wall again last night. The tape came loose on a section and I sprayed between sheets.

Except for the bottom of the tank, all painting is done now though

This is so rad.. I found a black diamond fathead so we mounted it above the tank.

He got it evenly spaced between ceiling and the top of the tank. Left to right from water heater to trim

The plan is to finish the cleaning the calcium off, getting the acrylic ready for reinforcing and mocking up the Ultima this weekend.



Spent a few hours dissolving and removing this reef buildup.













It’s cleaning up nice. Should have all panels finished by morning

BOOM all visible panels clean. The towers are soaking so we’re headed to tap to get the acrylic supplies.

Sure thing. Please keep in mind these are left over bits from the parts bin not the actual layout. No unions, valves in etc.




I’ve never seen a diverter valve used in the hobby so there’s that. It may be a total bust or the best thing ever. We’ll find out..

Sure thing. Please keep in mind these are left over bits from the parts bin not the final layout. No unions, valves etc. This is only to make sure there are no critical fitment issues with the holes we’re drilling today.

Auxiliary backwash system. I designed way to backwash that doesn’t use water from the tank IE - no filling up after and no new water used. I’ll post it later. Want to keep the continuity on this thread for now
