500 Gallon indoor pond build

well i have 3 pbass, a red terror, 2 smaller jags and some misc fish that are all about the same size. I want them to go in it first so they grow pretty quick. Then i have other big fish i'd like to stock it with-like a pacu, 2 large jags, tinfoil barbs etc...
 
I'd also like to get some stingrays...all the motoro's i see are a lil expensive, so i was considering reticulated. tfdfish sells them for 25 each...
 
What kind of sand did you use? Just play sand, or is it pool filter sand?
 
i used play sand. It was harder to clean, but i like how it turned out. pool filter sand was twice as much and had a bigger grit. i guess it just depends on what you prefer. i like sugar sized sand better...
 
How did you clean it? Did you just rinse it alot, because it took me forever to rinse my play sand enough to use for a five gallon guppy tank.

it took me like a half hour to clean a 50lb bag. i used a bucket and a hose. i've got 250lbs of it in there and i like it better than the pool sand.

I'll post a few more pics tomorrow. I'm letting the filter get established and the water heat up. I seeded the filter with other media from the kiddie pool so its almost ready for some fish!
