I'm drooling! but did you get this tank just to do this? looks good btw.

Nope. We're slowly putting in the new residents so as to not overwhelm the biofiltration. Knife fish in today, and maybe tomorrow or the next day we'll be able to put the two largest catfish in with the knife. However, I'm gonna have to watch the water parameters to make sure I don't have to do a 50% water change on a 600 gallon tank and use cartons of ammonia chips.

MORE VIDS WITH FISHES!!!!!

We will be taking videos as we move each fish. I HIGHLY doubt the catfish will be so cooperative. I think those videos will be a heck of a lot funnier. :WHOA::)

Wow your knife looks so tiny in the monster tank. I have never seen a gold before. Are they hard to find? The tank looks amazing. You two did a wonderful job pulling it together. I have to ask, how are ya'll planning on cleaning it. A larger step stool with about half of you getting in the tank, or are you going to get all the way in lol??

Great video footage!! That knife does look really small!! Congratulations!!!

I literally have to use that small ladder ever time I want to access the tank. There really won't be any vacuuming necessary once my catfish are in there. They stir everything up. For the acrylic, we have a large mag-n-float. Also, I have what I have dubbed a "Go-Go-Gadget Arm" (for anyone who grew up with Inspector Gadget). It's a long plastic grabber that I can get stuff at the back of the tank with. Although, my TSNxRTC tried to grab it and take off with it the other day.

The lights in the tank are pretty blue, but we had a halogen light hanging above the area. When he swims under this light is was pretty amazing. You can see the contrast of the bluer light hitting the sand and the warmer colored lights hitting him.

LOL. I know what you meant. I think that's the first thing I said when I saw him in the tank. I knew that would happen, so that's why I specifically measured him before I put him in. That way it gives you a concept of the size.
