Yr sooo lucky bro,and yr goonch is amazing,i watched him grow in the photos,he is a fat big fella now..
That would be the only downfall with keeping these fellas,as u said,they are not real active!
But a small price to pay to have a goonch...
Will he chase down feeder fish and eat them?
Looks as thow he is to big to have something to hide in now...

Yeah it will strike at a feeder, never miss. Wont actually chase down a feeder but if one is close it's dead :) He out grew all hiding places and is now over in the plants. I only see it when it's feeding time LOL
What the hell, I have a Goonch right? They just don't move, it's a ambush predator.
 
:WHOA: How time flies! It's a beast now, but I guess 3.5 years later, it should be, lol! Looking great!
 
yeah mine arent all that active when the lights are on, but when i turn them off its a different story. i'll dump a net full of massivores in before i go to bed, and turn off the lights, and within 5-10 seconds they are on the prowl. All the other fish know to watch out when they are hunting, they search and swim very fast, and when any part of them brushes against a pellet they whip around and grab it, usually with a large mouthful of gravel too! very powerful eaters, i cant stress that enough!!
