75 gallon Firemouth species only Tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
its not cycled yet... the plants are just making it seem that way. id wait at least another week of keeping up with the ammonia additions. but as far as adding fish. swords first then the firemouth a while later so as to not add too much bioload at once

Today's readings: 7.8ph, 0.25 Ammonia, 0.25ppm Nitrite and I'm having a hell of a time seeing the difference in color between 10 and 20ppm Nitrate even in very bright light.

Plants are looking good, and even the new lotus bulbs are starting to sprout in the back.
The second lotus is on the left but every angle I tried the photo quality went down.

Looked close on the pots and found what looks like streaks on the clay pots assuming a bit of algae which I will leave, taking this as what I want?

Todays reading: Ph 7.8, 0ppm ammonia, 0.25ppm nitrite, and 10ppm nitrate. Im assuming the streaky looking algea is actually a mix of benifical bacteria and algea combined or something.
