You should be fine with what you already are running.

Did you fine tune your stock list yet?

Been looking at Dave’s rare fish Victoria list -

Probably pick 4 species of these and get the aforementioned 4 female 1 male ratio

Let Dave advise you on the mix. Victorians may not all work with 1m:4f, for example pundamilia is aggressive so 1m:7f works better. It is important to get females (they are silver) that look nothing alike across the species.

I'd say you are fine on filtration. Maybe a bit heavy but thats ok, as long as the fish arent being blown all over the place.

Thanks! That’s what I was looking for!

Gonna ditch the sponge...

Even with quality filtration, a weekly 50% WC is needed to keep things healthy.
The only Victorians I keep are the Paralabidochromis Sauvagei, (Yellow Rock Krib). These little guys are tough little Haps. Although small, they do well with Mbuna, even predator Haps, as long as plenty of rock shelter is provided. I have 3x males & only 1x female. No problem with that ratio. The females of this species are colorful (yellow) unlike the usual silver of most female Haps.20191213_051936.jpg
