You need to lay off of your defenses a tad. I dont see where anyone took stabs at YOU except for DAVO with the long paragraph comment. And that was tounge in cheek to say the least.

A few posts up I said where *I* thought you were taking a personal jab, and oddly enough, you said you could see where I got that from and that I misunderstood which I agreed upon. But then before you closed you disagreed with me AND yourself. So color me confused on that one...

And then YOU opened another door by stating that its because you are a woman and went on a little spat about that. Why was that even needed here?? I have yet to argue with someone because they are not a man. I have disagreed plenty here with many members that are male and female.
Maybe its the way you let the words fly?? Maybe??

I will say once again that you do indeed have one impressive Iggy. And I dont care if its a male or female! LOL!!

I am off this topic because I dont want to be added to the "banned" list. I feel that we have what has to be the best reptile forum on a non reptile site and I hope it stays that way!!

Your right maybe so, But I won't lay off them here.. simply because I do feel Im getting slammed for speaking my opinion where as others don't. I know I know davo's was tounge in cheek but I don't just mean that. EVERY (and I mean every) time I have argued or disagreed with some one, I have at least 2 peoples having a go at me because I disagree and more to the point, am not afraid to say so. I don't really see it happening particularly to anyone else (of course it happens.. I mean I don't see it happening again and again repetitively to anybody else. Which brings me onto the next thing I mentioned, which was because I am a woman. I did not say it is because of this, I would be a fool to say that, only asking. Like I said.. it was a completely stupid thing to ask as no one (IMO) will admit to this. Ok, I can throw words around but again who does not..I have seen many do it and not get slammed.. The only reasons I can see for this is either because 1) people don't agree with what I'm saying (which is fair enough but no need to have a go at me for my own opinion) no 2) because I am in someway different to anybody else here (and the only thing I could find was my sex).. If you can find another reason this is happening to me more than anybody else please enlighten me.. but hopefully you can see where I'm coming from and imagine yaself in my shoes.. you would wonder why it is happening to you. I am trying to be open minded to what people say and take pride in knowing tht if I truly realise I am wrong.. I do not mind admitting it, and I also pride myself in not backing down because I am slammed.. so are these the reasons why? :screwy: You confused me with your second paragraph.. I disagreed with both me and you on what lol?

For the record, I've been accused of being harshly expressing my opinion before, so JD, you're not the only one. Albeit, it hasn't happend in a while, probably because I haven't been posting in a while. But it has happened.

Ophi, it is a shame you don't post more often.
Jessica in the fun of it all, i forgot to mention (what the thread is open for) that the Ig looks great, and I really like your cali. You going to have it probed? You need a better picture of the cobalt though, I'm sure you'll agree that pic does it no justice.
 
Ok Ophi, I didn't know you had but ok. Davo I werent honestly trying to start something, I was trying to find out why, but I soppose it doesn't really matter anymore unless it keeps happeniing. Yeah I plan on having it probed. Defo need a better pic of the cobalt but it does show some of the great colour on her legs lol. I got a new hognose yesterday and (I know I shouldnt handle it incase I stress it) but it seemed perfectly handleable yesterday when I let it slither out of the box onto my hand. Now I can barely open the cage without it striking. Managed to gently get it on my hand without a hiss.. and it was just sitting there without even flattening its neck area and just struck and hissed abit for no reason :S Seems stupid to be scared of being bit by a snake when you have 3 lol... but I'm used to them only being defensive with fast movements and when getting out of the viv. This ones going to be a hard one.. lol any ideas people on how to calm him down. Seems odd he would strike for no reason when he was sitting there calm and I never made a move?
 
Guess you could try letting him settle in a bit. I wouldn't be in the best of moods in a new environment with you poking me either :eek:

No jessica, nothing special, just continue what you are doing. If they do strike I don't put them back, incase they get into the metality of being agressive means they get left alone. Just treat it as you do the others, I'm sure you'll be fine with it.
 
Lol I try to lift them from underneath the paper towel, so as not to suprise them or poke them. I guess your right, the owner said he did hiss abit but not strike. Ahh well I'll just have to get on with it eh.
 
very good looking cali king or is it a florida? sorry been away from snakes for a while now.
