. . . salt/fat content/corn filler aspect is the main issue (also nitrates in some brands I believe). Like swallowing a blob of fat and spoon of salt for dinner. . . . fishermen use a 'bread paste' mixture where they make it into balls to feed fish. Not sure about the nutrition level, though. You could probably grind pellets into the dough I would guess. . .
That looks like the Tetra sticks/Jumbo Min I used to feed years ago.It would break up when the fish munch on it and it would dye the tank waterThis is how you wean them off of the hot dogs.

BTW None of my fish will these disgusting things until they are starving, and then they quit right away. I did not show the brand name but you can figure it out.
I've got $15 jar here that's going to go into the worm farm.
I mistakenly bought some of these. They do tend to make a mess since they are orange. They are a no no for feeding oscars. That looks like the Tetra sticks/Jumbo Min I used to feed years ago.It would break up when the fish munch on it and it would dye the tank water
Yeah I know, that's all it takes.

I think one can eat hotdogs occasionally as long as the diet is balanced with some vegetables or fruit.

Choices, choices...
Problem is catching them before the fish do
