Agreed. Listen, don't listen. Doesn't matter really with people like you. You chill and have a great Sunday. Hope your fish have a good one too oh wait......

African Brown knives can reach a foot. They usually don't in aquariums because of tanks like yours where they are crammed and slammed and prevented from growing.

I like how you still refuse to admit how high your nitrates are.

My nitrates are great. 5 to 15 ppm without serious planting is outstanding. My tap has 0 nitrates, so it all comes from the tank's inhabitants.

The reason nobody wanted to respond to your post should be even more evident to you now. You have your fingers in your ears and you're screaming, "La, la la!". How is reason supposed to reach you?

I fail to see how I've been rude to you. You ask the question, I tell you the truth, you cry about it. If you don't want the truth, don't ask for it.

i dont do nitrate tests. i just do 50% water changes once a week and clean filters once a month.

u mad?

thread locked\

?

The best test to check your stocking is the nitrate test. By not knowing your nitrates, you can never be sure how stocked you are or how heavily you can feed your fish. Your fish are dependent entirely on you for their health and you are failing them.

How would me being angry have any impact on how well you take care of your fish?

This gets weirder by the post.

.

What?

I'm assuming you tried to get this thread locked. Not sure why were just trying to help. Your nitrates could be 100ppm by a week, get a nitrate test.

if you guys think this is overstocked....i'd seriously advise against looking in the pic forum

im in the process of getting two more small light hoods to put in compact flourscent lights in. i have one in the middle. its giving the tank a yellowish glow but it brings out the colours better IMO. now i just need more even lighting. i should be able to grow fast growing plants and hardy plants like anubias and java fern. I'd expect no broad-leaved plants though

Overstocked or not. Look at all of that algae. It's literally covering the intakes and the rocks are covered it's everywhere. Also it looks cloudy. These are not symptons of a well cared for fish tank. Algae is because of high nitrates. As in overstocked.

Sounds cool. I hope your plants do well.

They might make a small dent in your nitrates, too. :D Can't wait to see pics of plants! GL
