Everyone needs to read this site:
All green terror's Gold Saum Silber Saum and The True GT are all wild but live in different places of south america....but all of which are sold under the same name
AEQUIDENS RIVULATUS....click on the link below and it will show and describe the differences and go in to further details of the AEQUIDENS GENUS.....

http://www.lem.net/alf/aeq.htm

the link also says that GOLD SAUM AND SILBER SAUM are NOT AEQUIDENS RIVULATUS....But are AEQUIDENS GOLD SAUM and AEQUIDENS SILBER SAUM....

I think you need to learn a little more about Latin nomenclature before making statements like that. Have a read...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binomial_nomenclature

And perhaps you should read over the link you posted, taking note of the way in which the author uses "" to signify unknowns, and how he implies that the identities and naming is anything but black and white. He even goes as far as to say "DISCLAIMER: Statements made on this page are not herewith made available for purpose of zoological nomenclature under the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature." meaning that what he has written is simply his take on the situation, and not hard fact. None of this is set in stone, and it is unlikely that it ever will be as different people will have different opinions and will reach different conclusions as the study the same group of fish.

Why can't you simply accept the fact that the name 'green terror' is, can and will always be used to describe a group of cichlids of the genus Aequidens from the north west of South America, including the species A. rivulatus and several reigonal varients that are yet to be classified. Because that is the true limitation of a common name.

Well first of all after reading the whole thread,i just want to say that they are some good looking fish.PERIOD The true gt's look a little different but have silver saum and gold and siver saum look identical.Thats just my take on the topic,to keep it simple
