Really nice setup. I liked keeping my venustus and dolphins with my fronts as well. i found they got along fine. I might replace the ones that went to jhutch for the tank trade swap. Very nice. I also had a male and female borleyi that looked great and acted the same as the venustus.

It is a very nice setup, not mine, but watching that makes me want to setup my 150 like that, I'd have to get a 180+ for the fish I have in my 150 though.

from what i have seen those types with the venustus and fronts (or other large haps) only work or work best when they are in the really big tanks so there is room to move and avoid etc..

Right, I see what you mean, it looks like it is working quite well in the 180 gallon video above though, I have awhile till I'm allowed to get another large tank anyways, so I'm just dreamin now.

go 300!!!!!!!!!

Lol, definatly want to, just have to wait till I get the ok from the boss (wife). Till then I just have to be happy with the ones I have. When I do get the ok, beleive me, I am going to go as big as I can (and a 300 sounds real nice).

That's my tank right there. Glad it caught your eye. I had meant to post it as I made it specifically for this thread but got side-tracked. And thanks for commenting on my mbuna video the other day.

Everything's going ok so far since 2005. The only issue was about 18 months ago when I had to sell the other male venustus which also used to dwell in the tank (it was the sub-dominant, then out of the blue it defeated the 'dominant' male and continued to terrorize the ENTIRE tank; yep, the 180gal wasn't big enough for him and the rest). The male venustus currently in the tank isn't so bad.
