OK, that sounds good to me.

Let me know what you think after your experiment.

Since I soak pellets they almost seem more messy but I'm not sure....

Btw i notice allot more waste with pellets regardless of the brand. Will see how it looks this week when im paying more attention to the tilapia waste output.

Ahhhh... I have no clue on that one. To many plants. Report back!

Do you do the RidX treatments? Supposed to break down waste?

Thanks! I'm happy we've discussed this here. I'll go every other day. That's how I've historically fed all of my fish, but with the 3-4 inch polys I've been feeding more.

So do you guys typically alternate (fish/krill/earthworms) and pellets every other day or do you do mostly fish and pellets 1 out of the 4 feedings, or....?

I do pellets, beefheart, myris shrimp, bloodworms daily and every couple days either talapia or earthworms

I thought, and still think maybe? that the baby ones like 2 to 4 inches need to be fed more frequently. But maybe that's not true. Maybe people just do that because they want them to get big faster and I misunderstood.

Power feeding in my mind is intentionally feeding a lot to get a lot of growth quickly.

What kind of ridx are you guys using because judging from the safety instructions it sounds like it pretty rough stuff. It says it could be extremely irritant to eyes? Will this effect fish. I did read about using septic bacteria but I haven't found a good kind to use and I really want to try this out even though my bio-load is extremely light. I could probably do water changes every two weeks if I wanted judging by my water parameters but I prefer to have my water extra clean so I've been looking into this

If you search for rRidX in this sub forum, polyaddict posted a picture of the exact kind for me. I got it at my local grocery store. It's RidX for septics.
