Albino bichor

If it has no problem getting to the surface and breathing just wait it out. Keep us updated.
I'll be sure to keep you updated! One thing I did notice is when I handle him he gets stressed out so fast to the point if I hold him for more then a few seconds he will go limp from fighting then shoot back to his normal self

So how's you bichir doing mine has the same thing please help

There's nothing you can really do, aside from making sure the bichir has clean water and can reach the surface to breathe. It is a genetic defect from their extremely shallow gene pool.

I dealt with it a couple times in the past, and it only ever happened to the albinos... none of them made it longer than 2-3 days after the swelling happened. Hopefully yours will be alright.
 
Wow that's weird. I had a sen that had a tumor but it didn't look like that or pop up over night. I'd try something like prazi to fight a parasite. But maybe others will chime in.

Imo, it looks like a broken hyoid bone from ramming against something too hard.

Yea he passed iv never had that with the rest of my bichirs I was trying to get all the bichir that are in new Zealand it makes me so sad 😞
