Very awesomeHi all I'm back, it's been ages I know, I think the last post I did was back in 2013 or 2014, I was originally going to have a 12x3x3 all glass aquarium built on site, now I've gone for 11x4x2.5.View attachment 1245491 View attachment 1245492 View attachment 1245493 View attachment 1245494
I'm definitely having BD stingrays and pearl stingrays a pair of each. A pair of red tiger jaguar cichlids, which I'm growing out, Clown knife fish which I'm also growing out, red tail golden arowanas a pair, blue based gold arowanas a pair, and all the different coloured oscar cichlid a pair of each, and finally a blue umbee cichlid pair. Sounds like alot of fish, but they'll have more then enough room, also I've had these fish before so I am aware off aggression levelsNice footprint of a tank. What's your stock gonna be?
The filteration will be a 7Lx3Wx1H glass sump with a jebao 6500 as a return pump, seeing as the fish will be within 5-6" I don't want a massive turn over just yet, but once they start putting on some weight that pump will be upgraded to 10000. I will be doing 2 weekly water changes 100 gallons per change so a total of 200 gallonshow are you planning on filtering it? Just curious since it doesn't seem like you could fit a large enough sump under the stand
Wow that's going to be great. Are you constructing it on site with family and friends or is it being done by contractors?
Hi, the glass was originally second hand 19mm which I had to get an aquarium Manufacturer company to take apart in Oxfordshire here in UK, it was 13Lx4Wx2.5H and was going to get them to cut it down to 11ft. But during the cutting process the glass snapped. And the manufacturers decided to swap out the entire 19mm glass for 15mm opti white glass which was a pleasant surprise. Off course the price went through the roof but it's sooooooooo clear. As for assembly, the manufacturers came to my house and just carried it in no fancy equipment, just carried it, I helped out when I could, it was heavy pieces of glass the bottom was crazy heavy.
I'm very curious on either score if you wouldn't mind sharing a little bit on the physical part of how the glass was shipped & moved and how the tank was put together.
....and good luck on the whole project.
