If you can't house a gator gar properly then dont get one, simple as that. People giving so called advice as to put it in a 120 or whatever size tank you have then throw it in a pond like its that easy...Well all I am saying is that gators grow incredibly fast, they have crazy appitites and will need huge tanks, however I am saying with what I know and have personally see. Is that I have never seen a tank raised gator gar get passed 40-45". Still that is huge and I know for a fact most people will not be able to house these animals properly, and before anyone stops me or flames me about giving my honest opinion and say I am not an expert or I have no experiance etc.. Im just saying with my 25" gator and the experiance I have had with it. I guess what I am really trying to say is dont get a gator unless you have had experiance with other smaller/ easier gars to take care of first ie. florida or spotted or tropical. Because the whole put it in a tank whatever size you have then throw it in a pond and it will be fine is rediculous..
