Is there anyone else with the "balls" to step up and say "I DON'T WANT KIDS!"?

I'm tired of people telling me "You'll change your mind" or "I felt the same way" or "It's different if it's your own"

Bottom line: I don't want kids. I never have wanted kids. I'm old enough to know that I don't want a damn thing to do with them.
If you want to have children, then that's fine. I admire your drive. I want nothing to do with them. Leave me out of it.

This is not a thread for current or future parents to tell me what I'm missing, or how much they love, or how life isn't complete blah blah blah.
I'm just curious if I'm the only one that's tired of being second guessed.

rotflmaoooooo! i used to love kids till i had my own....now when i get mad at the 3 of yhem i say to myself "you did it to yourself".....then i walk to my wife and say " you shoulda swallowed that one"!

I am 45 years old and never had children of my own. I knew when I was 20 that it was not something for me. I got married for the first time when 42 to a women who had three children all in there teens by this point. I knew that they would not be home for a whole lot longer. They have a father who is involved with their lives for the most part. So I don't have the added pressure of trying to be dad. Just a good friend. People used to say the same thing to me, oh you'll change your mind, but I never did.

i never wanted to have Kids or even get married and still don't as i am not a baby person, i do however have an 18 year old daughter who lives with her mother and has done since she was one.
i have always supported my daughter and i am happy that i have a daughter and when it all comes down to it i never really brought her up so was able to do my own thing.
i got the best of both worlds really and we get along fine i even have a pic of her on this site.
as said some people are just not kiddie friendly and some are.

If it was that easy I wouldn't be making this thread. Doctors have a lot to do with the "You're to young" BS. They'd much rather have you spit one out that they have to support on welfare just to be sure that they're covered in case of a lawsuit.

my buddy had one at the age of 28. you can find a doc to do it.

I can't agree more. Not having children is a personal choice, and I won't argue with those who chose it, however I think it completes a person's life. I envy (the good type of envy) spizz. I want to have a few Onion Jr's who I can raise. I want to teach them all i've learned, watch them grow. I want to see them take after dad, want to be like me, but still be unique. I want to come home tired from work and despite how exhausted I am grab the little suckers, and run after them, and have them kiss me on the head and say "good night daddy, I love you". And when I am old, I want my wife and I to be happy in seeing them live their own lives, a product of my teachings and their own decisions. Sure, it will probably be hard at times, if not most of the time, but like miguel said, when I am old and on my deathbed, with the last few breaths I take I will see those who I raised now mothers and fathers, each with their own families, and know that my legacy will have been passed on, and I will be fondly remembered.

I really don't want children, I like kids(okay, some little ones while they are sleeping, not making any noise lol), but I do not want any. And what I want to do with my life would make having children around quite difficult anyway.

Though if I ever did change my mind, I would adopt, my choice in children is the same with dogs.. Adopt.

But, no you're not missing anything if you dont have one. You would only be missing something if you HAD one and then LOST it.

Your life IS complete. Kids dont make your life complete. If they do for some people, its because they werent 100% happy to begin with.

I TOTALLY understand where you're coming from. Cause NOW i'm getting it again..
I'm only having ONE kid. NO MORE. THIS IS IT. JUST ONE DAMMIT.
But now people are doing the SAME thing..

Maybe they're right, but they can keep their opinions to themselves and i'll will or will not change my mind on my own accord.
