I just turned 39 a few weeks ago, and I have no children, I was however married for 8 years and raised two children that i no longer speak with, and let me tell you what that sucks, so for me no children is the only choice, do what makes ya happy Rally

I never wanted children and at 21 yrs of age I made sure I would never bear a child. I'm now 51 and still satisfied with my choice to remain childless. My mother was disappointed as I was her only female child but all my brothers provided my parents with grandchildren. I was considered odd by my co-workers & friends but I knew children were not for me.
The choice to have or not have children is a very personal decision. If your friends and family can't accept your choice to remain childless, it's time to gently let them know this topic is off limits for further discussion. Or it's time for new friends and family.

Okay, Rally we have talked about this already....
but for everyone else.... My mom had me at 17 and had to graduate early... So my brother beat her to it and had one at 16 and then 3 by 22 and he dropped out of school and can not afford them... and so on...
Anyways.
My wife wanted kids early... Never left home until we got married. We almost never got married because I said I did not want kids. It is not that I do not want them ever. It is I do not want them now. I would like to live a bit first. I am a teacher for low income kids. I have seen the worst multiple kids, multiple dads, crazy how many kids are related in one school in a big city who do not share the same name... My wife teaches the lil ones... She now realizes that we are still too young. I was almost a dad at 15. I learned fast, that I can and will be a terrific dad, but not now. (turns out the kids was her ex, and she was 9 months not 6) I would never wish a person to have kids who does not want them... Why curse the child or parents with an unwanted life. I do understand however why people tell you what they do. It is like finding newest great product for fish. You want to tell everyone about it, whether it fits their needs or not. It just the urge for others to feel so great. I see unhappy parents and kids daily. If you do not want kids do not have them... Don't worry Levi, I will pick you up after any surgery... But I get to laugh as we have refreshments and you put the ice on your self....
