One of the things I take from the OPs statement, is the reality of how long quarantine should be.
I usually QT at least 2 months, sometimes longer.
I realize to some people, this seems excessive, but the expense and hassle of treatment of a much larger main tank, and or the ensuing death rate , of previously healthy fish, plants melted by meds, or of certain fish sensitivity to meds, begs to differ
It sometimes takes at least that long for parasites or diseases to become obvious.
