Or, it could be a solid piece of acrylic with 1 filter on each side of the divider?

i do have 2 cansiter filters on each side. if i did that i might have to add a seperate heater on each side. only 1 400w now.

Mos90 - How'd things go? Did you get it all set up?

The parents ate all of the babies from the last spawn. I am going to try to feed them way more than I am as I don't think I was feeding them enough. Hopefully that will cause the mother to lay more eggs and for them both to not eat all of the babies any more.

its going ok. the 30's are almost finished cycling. 1 pair layed eggs on the heater. the female moved them and there were about 25 babies left. after they were wigglers i turned on the light and the female ate them. weird.

i think ideally the parents should be removed after they lay eggs. then u need to treat for fungus and remove bad eegs manually. more work.

u guys are lucky to have your pair spawning. :D how did u get them to spawn?

If you are going to get serious about breeding I would remove the rocks on the botttom of the tank. It makes cleaning the tank SOOOO much easier!

How old are they?

who long have they been in the same tank?

What is the pH of the tank?

What is the Temperature of the tank?

What are you feeding them?

Nitrites, nitrates, amonia levels? (if you have a test kit)

What is the aquascaping like?

Are there teroccatta pots upsidedown?

Are there slates leaning up agianst the side of the tank?

Are there tank mates?
