Angelfish Spawn!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Got home from school to see that the eggs are still there, YEAH!!!
There are about 7-8 white eggs now.
Should I wait for the parents to remove them, or do it my self?
Or would that risk the parents eating the eggs.

thats great.. in my opinion it would risk it.. i would let nature take its course.. but you decide.. it is kind of a delicate matter to mess with their babies right in front of them though.. i would be happy that they made it this long.. yippee ..good parents

Ok, I'll just sit back and enjoy.

I'm suprised that they haven't eaten the eggs yet. They are good angelfish comeing from petsmart.

How long until wigglers, and free swimming? I forget.

Im jealous i wish my angels would breed!!! Great looking parents to, best of luck.

Great stuff! My pair have been non stop spawning for a while now, but there's a high proportion of infertile eggs - looks like your male is a better performer!
Keep the updates coming.
Here's what my pair have been up to in the last couple of months...

So you feed them live BBS? Do you feed anything else?

I commented on your thread a while back.

Congrats on them spawning all the time. What is your waterchanging schedule?
I did waterchanges every week for way to long, then skipped a week and now this happens.

two days until they wiggle and 5 days until they are free swimming..

Just went down to check on the eggs. I noticed that the female was on the other side of the tank. She went back over to fan the eggs, and the male shood her back over, pushing her back by putting his mouth at the base of her gills....
the male still seems to be fanning and taking care of the eggs.

What should I do? Is this normal?
