the nob on the head means nothing either one could be male or female.. just happens to be a deformity or genetics or old injury.. ..and you cannot rule out 2 females or 2 males.. but when they are old enough and big enough to spawn you will know they are a pair..although two females will have eggs..so you will have to check out their breeding tubes when the time comes...Cakilla;3600254; said:thats awesomeI have 2 angel fish now I was thinking they was a pair but they haven't ever laid eggs I was mainly thinking they was male and female cause for some reason unknown to me why the one I was thinking was male has a nob forming on its forhead and the other does not , they are the same age same size I will have to wait it out and see got them in a 100 gallon indoor pond now with slate rocks in it made some caves wiht it and its planted so we will see
