another drop eye concern

the video had a drop eye free fish. i'm tellin ya, drop eye isn't natural at all.

it aint natural, and it aint normal. but it doesn't cause death, and its been happening for over 50 years. til this day, noone can prove what causes it... everyone just assumes wild caught aros dont have it, but i can promise you they do. and how do you justify that fish in that video didn't have drop eye. it ws in the water the whole time and they did no close up shots on it

i think DE is like natural. jus like a flounder has eyes normal when its born, then as it grows they curve over to 1 side so it sits flat on the bottom of the ocean. helps them have a better view on there living life style...

go to school for 50 years, and find the EXACT CAUSE for it, then tell me it isn't normal or aint natural. you dont know that it isn't. become some kinda biologist and make it your profession to figure out what causes it. then tell me that you proved a point. cuz at this point, you haven't proved crap but a complaint about it when you dont even own them...

What does me not owning one have to do with anything. I've helped care for one, i know a thing or two about aro's, i've done research and i know what i'm talking about most of the time. I just stated my opinion as a rebuttal, and a few posts later you agreed with that. You just agreed that it isn't natural, which how could it possibly be, after this many generations of fish, wouldn't they then be born with DE? I don't want to get into a fight with you, but you seem to think that just becasue you own an aro and others that try to help do not, that you should be believed, and not somebody else.

with that said, NOONE knows the story behind drop eyes. EVERYTHING IS A THEORY as of now.

and if u look at his upper eye area, you can see the fat tissue which goes to show it has DE. ask wizzin.

i guess my arguement is, just because there not born with it, what makes you think its not supposed to happen at the bigger size like it does? why are you so certain its not meant to be? what proof do you have to show that they are supposed to have the eyes they do when there young? why can't you think of it as a defense type thing so they can see there predators down below as if they couldn't, even in the wild. they could be attacked by many things. and just because they jump out for food at times, does not mean there eyes must remain looking up at all times leaving you to wonder why tank raised aros have eyes pointing down. there's no proof.

that is drop eye, you see the wild ones aren't even close to that, imo the wild ones you've shown me don't actually have drop eye, or if they do it is insanely mild, leaving me to believe that there has to be something about the fish being in the aquarium.
