So yes, I believe dogs are primarily decendents of wolves, As a subspecies. I believe they are the same Family and Genus, But saying they are purely Canis Lupus Lupus I cant agree with. Too much conflicting DNA analysis, And the genepool is too diverse. And the domestic dog dates too far back to be accurate. Because there are many types of wolves, Even extinct species now that could have been used throughout time, Like the Dire wolf. Many Canus are capable of breeding producing viable offsprings, Like jackles, coyotes, While dogs on the other hand, some dogs cant breed because of diversity in their genetics. I dont not believe dogs came from Canis Lupus Lupus, I just have my doubts.
I am sorry, I dont understand your logic.
Rather than believing that modern domestic dogs are the product of man selectively breeding for specific traits over many generations, you believe they are seperate species that are the result of Canis lupus hyrbidizing with Jackals and/or Dire Wolves that have been extinct for 10,000 years?
What does this have to do with anything related to what the OP asked?
