Any1 know alot about bichers

Just call us out on our abbreviations, as we tend to use them a lot here as the scientific names can be long.

There is a thread up top in the (long list of) stickies that has the current species names and some pics, and it groups them by upper and lower jaw. (Says at the top of each little sheet if upper or lower.)

+1 on the delhezi. They have so much personality. A lot of members have good experiences with them! Mine likes to swim around a lot, gets along great with my other polys, and she loves to dig!

Then you're doing it wrong. A decent portion of the active poly member/addictsa have at least one Polypterus Bichir Bichir and talk about them on a semi regular basis.

I dont feed them often enough lol. I get mine from tackle/bait store or walmart

I Gotta start mixing up my tilapia and carnivore pellets routine.

IME that's quite small for a poly, I'd really go 55 or bigger... Especially for a planted tank if you have lots of decor

Senegals are crazy busy, mine are about 6.5" now and use that whole 70 gal of mine..

I'm sorry but I can't agree with a 40 being used as anything more than a growout

40 would be fine for a wc sen as well. They dont get larger than the other upper jaws.

Even if a wc upper jaw did out grow a 40 your talking yrs and yrs and yrs for that to happen. Imo the tank is fine
