Anyone ever get Wife/GF aggro for fish?

Oh, and I have to get a FW Stone Fish in the bathroom... nothing pretty is allowed in there... (to be honest, i don't even want one in there, that's just weird, but we'll see...

I told my wife if she wanted me to stop buying fish, she had to stop buying shoes. For every pair of shoes she bought, I could buy a fish. Well I have since had to add 2 tanks to acommidate new fish and everyone is happy!!!

Omg great rule! Lmfao. If my mom did that(only 14 don't have a wife rofl) I would have hundreds of tanks! I call her the shoe hoarder! Lmfao though that's great.

your not the only one lol mine hate my obsession but loves her oscars and jd. she ignores me when i start talking about them. when i go to a lfs she waits in the cars so i dont spend all day in there.

My wife likes that the calming effect of the fish, but hates everything else about my hobby. She hates the $, the time I spend on water changes, my constant thinking of all things fish. She does not have any hobbies of her own, so I don't even have a trade I can offer her. I am very open to any ideas.

I get husband aggro for tanks... he loves the fish... but doesn't want to get them proper tanks.

Mine use to get quite frustrated but I reminded her it was her grandma that got me into it, just recently I bought her a 10 gallon for her and put a baby GT in it for her and now she loves it, doesn't complain and has bought a few fish for me haha.

My girlfriend and I started out in this hobby together. My parents gave us a tank and I thought they were just giving us another chore, but in short time we accumulated 6 tanks and she now works for our LFS, not too bad if you ask me!!

This is funny to me because I am the wife that is crazy for fish. I actually completely rearranged the kitchen while my husband was buying pool filter sand for my new tank. I moved everything so I could put a 56g corner tank in there, too!

Mine used to love the hobby, but sometime afterwards... ehhh, NOT so much anymore!! Lol!

All I got to say to those, who do have the support of their significant other ones... Take Advantage of it NOW, while you still can!! She may just have a little change of mind later?!! (depending how deep you get more and more into it, that is?)

For those who still have the support of their wife/GF... Congrats, they're definitely keepers!
