100% untrue. The Stoner design is a very accurate platform. In many cases far more accurate then "huntin" guns.

For the guy with an uncle that has FA AK-47s. Do you know how much a legal REAL AK-47 is worth? Id say somewhere around $50,000. Does you uncle realize that?

So you would put your stoner up against my sako .222 because as everyone knows a semi-automatic assult rifle is FAR more accurate than one of the finest bolt action weapons ever built.....?????? Who exactly IS this everyone and what in your opinion passes for accurate?

I said your average "huntin" guns. Sako's are very nice rifle and far from average. However many people that have AR's are capable of 1/4MOA. From the factory most quality ARs will shoot 1MOA.

Also when I say hunting guns Im talking about your walmart special 30-30s and remy 700s (yes I know the remys have the capabilities to be VERY accurate).

Am I the only one that here that reloads?......LOL

To be honest I wouldn't run mil spec ammo through any of my guns....

I really need to get off my butt and put in...We have 4 freezers and are always in need of wolf chow...

Hey...everyone save me your organ meat....no intestines please....lol

I've always wanted to start reloading but just haven't got into it yet. I hope to build up a long-range rifle someday probably based on the 700 format. I did notice that other day that Remington is producing a tactical rifle...7650 I think. It looked kinda neat.

Also...kinda unrelated. Do you feed all raw to your wolves? I've been thinking about getting my dog started on a raw diet and I've read that a lot of people feed on a 80-10-10 schedule with 10% being organs and the last 10% being bone.

edit...it's a 7615

Yes. In fact we work very closely with local coops....

If intrested then Email my wife at Morledzep@aol.com and ask for an info packet...tell her your from MFK. She has a TON of links to information she can send you.

(sorry for the slight derail...back to hunting...)

I think we need a new Gun talk only thread....

I want to talk more about guns!

And old friend of mine, Mike, Found an old SKS in his attic a few years ago, little bit of rust on it, still had the Imperial markings on it wich is extremely rare seeing as Imperial Markings were ordered to be ground off of the recievers. My dad also has a Mag for a Chinese SKS that has about 4 live bullets in it, with Imperial Markings. :nilly:

I agree, I enjoy pleasure shooting. I've always wanted to learn to reload my own cartridges and have some nice custom guns but I'm just too poor until I graduate college. I don't really hunt as I've never really had a need for the meat even when my parent's live on about 100 acres. I always found myself out and about in the woods but I guess targets don't require the field cleaning of a whitetail.

Yeah, same here. I'm not really into hunting, but I do enjoy eating elk, deer, antelope, duck, wild turkey, and other game. It just taste so much butter then store bought Beef/Pork.

I would like to get into duck hunting though, looks really fun. It just seems more fun that deer hunting as you have a higher limit of what you can take, and it seems more fast paced, quick shooting.

I REALLY want to buy JD7.62's Mauser really, really bad!

When I'm moved out of my parents house and and all that, I want to get into collecting guns more, I really like old war weapons likes Mausers, Mosins, SKS, etc. I'd like to build an M4 aswell for varmint hunting/home defence/whatever. Building an AK/AKM seems fun aswell.

Hey guys I thought we were talking about hunting? :D

Just kidding, I love talking about guns. I'm glad the hippies aren't hassling us.

Anyways back to hunting, I don't deer hunt much anymore. But I do a lot of waterfowl and pheasant hunting. And of course lots of varmint hunting. Groundhogs are an endangered species on my parents farm.

LOL......damn hippies with their harry girl legs.

That's kind of how I am. I don't have any great urge to hunt, though I enjoy eating the meat. Processing deer sucks though. At least I don't have to field dress anything, that's my husband's job (or whoever gave us the deer).

Old millitary rifles are cool, I just don't know much about 'em. My husband has a pretty big collection, though we're selling off a lot of stuff off at the moment. He tries to explain as much as possible to me but I only shot my first gun a few years ago so it's taking awhile to learn about each one, lol. I enjoy shooting pistols better anyway. I'm a wuss when it comes to rifle recoil. My husband isn't sensitive in the least bit (though he did kind of flinch when he shot his .375 H&H mag - I took the oportunity to make fun of him) so that kind of annoys me.
I'm trying to get the nerve up to shoot our M-14 but when when he says something doesn't hurt that bad he's usually lying, so I dunno
