That's kind of how I am. I don't have any great urge to hunt, though I enjoy eating the meat. Processing deer sucks though. At least I don't have to field dress anything, that's my husband's job (or whoever gave us the deer).

Old millitary rifles are cool, I just don't know much about 'em. My husband has a pretty big collection, though we're selling off a lot of stuff off at the moment. He tries to explain as much as possible to me but I only shot my first gun a few years ago so it's taking awhile to learn about each one, lol. I enjoy shooting pistols better anyway. I'm a wuss when it comes to rifle recoil. My husband isn't sensitive in the least bit (though he did kind of flinch when he shot his .375 H&H mag - I took the oportunity to make fun of him) so that kind of annoys me.
I'm trying to get the nerve up to shoot our M-14 but when when he says something doesn't hurt that bad he's usually lying, so I dunno

Thats pretty cool. I hate processing deer aswell, take too long, and just sucks. Helped my friend and his dad do it once, They had three or so large bucks, took forever! Dull knives dont help the process at all...

I might buy my mom a Ruger .22, she talks about how she used to always shoot .22's when she was younger and how fun it was.

Think I might be buyin' that Mauser from JD :naughty: Gotta contact him about it, dunno if I can get it for sure yet though.

M14's are rad, Really cool rifles I want to get one someday. :headbang2

Let me know and Ill ship it to your FFL. You then will fill out the paper work there and pay any applicable fees and its all yours!

If you dont mind me asking, what does FFL stand for? Gunsmith I'm assuming... :nilly:

I've never had a firearm shipped to me, other than an airsoft gun wich can be shipped door-to-door.

Federal Firearms License holder. I don't think you're supposed to ship between private buyers.
I don't know much about shipping guns though. I just know my husband will only sell guns to people that will pick them up because they're a pain to get shipped legally.

Well, Last night I was talking to my mom during dinner and asked, "What do you think about me getting another gun?"

The answer was... "NO!" I asked why, "I dont want to talk about it!"

Michigan hunter right here! I love it all. So far this year I have only gotten out for deer once and duck quite a few times. Me and my buddy do it every chance we get. Weekends we wake up 3:30am and get to the launch ramp first everytime and the first ones out right after school(before the dang daylight savings, now its already too late when we get out of school). Only one deer under my belt. A big doe with my little 42lbs. draw weight compound bow when I was 12. Now I shoot more like 65lbs. and way more capable of bringing down a deer. Passed up two does this youth hunt cuz I only had a hip shot on them from 120 yards with the 30-06. Oh well...Here are some duck hunting pics. Its always funny when people find out I hunt. I think people are more shocked because they don't see me as the type lol. Makes it interesting.

Kinda sad but around me thats considered a good day hunting...5 birds, 2 guns.

Left side of our decoy setup. We usually set out a couple dozen ducks and about a dozen geese.

A nice northern we took. Thats my buddy holding the bird. He is the main reason I love it so much.
