Yea, my track record with flowdrhorns is what got me into CA/SA cichlids. More $, more problems they say...
Anyway, we'll see what happens when I get home this evening. I really hope I just caught him sleeping or sulking and not actually DYING.... :o

Ok, so he's not dead. Still in the same spot though. He's responsive to me, extending his dorsal when i step to the tank but he's not drifting too far from his sulking spot. Not eating really either. Ugh.
Here he is, in the same spot i left him in this morning.

I've got loads of salt though. Do i dose the water, food, both?

Perhaps the tank is too big for him to get used to? I hope....
Or maybe it's the pair of festae on the other side of the divider that's stressing him out. He seemed fine when i first put him in, even attacking the festae through the divider.:confused:

Did you see anything "odd" about him? Like, scratching, breathing heavily, stringy white poop etc? When you give him pellets, how much does he eat? Give a rough estimate. (5 out of 10 pellets offered for example) What is the tank temperature and water parameters?
 
None of the tell tale signs. Just very lethargic. His feces are brown and solid, not white or stringy. When he ate, the second day, he took a single 4.5mm hikari gold (thats about a mouthful for him)at a time and ate approx 7-10 that day. Not an aggressive eater at all, which is not what i would expect of this fish.
Water parameters? Haven't tested in yrs but i believe its 7.0 from the tap. Temp is 82F

Reason? I change water 2x a wk last one was on friday. Just the rt pair and the hait in w/ him ATM. They're all fine so faf but I'll be treating all my tanks as a precaution. Salt treatment is under way as we speak. What would you recommend I use next. Metro and Prazi should be here by Thursday.
