I'm always thinking, My mind never ceases. I'm called "weird" because I can sit down and stare at a wall for hours upon hours (Done it for 4 hours, I could go much longer, I got interrupted.) Thinking.

Aye, I might ditch slipknot but not Metal. I love metal, I doubt I will drop it. I doubt I will drop SlipKnoT, I'm still yet to go to a concert.

Back on topic.

why worry about where we came from?
i dont
we as a species need to focus on where we are going.

with the trillions of stars start systems gotta be something out there
maybe in places with conditions similar to ours parallel evolution who knows

I think we gotta fix this mess before we mess up anything else for someone or something, or go picking a fight
Being human and fallable the tendencey would be to trash the earth even more if there was another place to go, and there are
so many beautiful things being lost,
and ok that' s the natural order, but like TolKien said
'and the glory of the world was less than it was'
that's what I thought when I read the white whale thread

Spiritual beliefs are personal, everyone has their reasons for believing as they do.
Stars are awesum, imagine that someday through however many incarnations we become one

madelinel'engle's Mrs whatsit " I did so love to be a star"
also read dogsbody by oh crap just look it up on amazon
C.S lewis wrote more than the chronicles of narnia

Faith in a supreme being whether understanding everything that happens or not makes life more meaningful and bad things easier to bear. worst case scenario if you're wrong you have not done or been harmed (I am referring to faith and spirituality not religion or dogma)

One short story I read a long time ago humanity was interplanetary in the solar system and hooked up this giant supercomputer
the scientist as he hits the last connection says now we will ask the question that has plagued mankind for millenia
is there a god?
the computer answers
YES
NOW there is a god
kinda chilling huh?

I dont think its choosing the easy way out.

I have a friend that is getting his masters in divinity so we have this convo alot;

Here is my short and simple feeling of God.

The more scientific break throughs the more Powerful and Awesome God becomes. Take evolution for example, before evolution (now I know some people think if you believe in evolution you cant believe in God but again this is my opinion) people thought we were just created.

Since evolution is very credible and amazing how it works, again in my mind, it makes me think how amazing God must be to have set evolution in motion.

Untill science can verify 100% how the universe was created, I will think that every scientific discovery and break through only reminds us of how Great God is.

Ironic that the science that reminds how us great God is can ulitmately (again my opinion, though I doubt this will ever happen) disprove his existence. :(

+1 again :D
