My issue is that some of those who believe in evolution don't address this issue (among others) and instead use diversion to trick people into believing the stuff they tell them to.

We have learnt so much in the past 100yrs, in the next 100 who know what we will know. Only time will tell, as long as religion stops slowing progress due to the fear of people not believing any more.

Religion is the one which plays with people, hunting them down in their time of need and pushing god down their throut. What do you think the african people need more, medical attention/food or a religion pushed at them and another reason to fight. Religion is the biggest trick/cult ever concieved by man.

There are many unanwsered questions in religion too, how/where did god come from is a major one (and the same concept as with the 'flaw' in evolution) but the joy with religion is there are many 'easy' ways out of these sorts of questions, its biblical is a load of crap I get alot. Also god has always exsisted etc, if so why is it so hard to think that matter in the universe that started life just exsisted. Its the same logic, just more logical.

Also with my post earlier responding to Del, I never said his veiw/belief was wrong, just that he thought that how everyone else translates the bible is wrong is wrong cause its all about point of view. Wouldn't you agree with this, or are you reading the bible wrong to?

thats a goof question. where did the matter in space come from... hmmm:screwy:

i dont really believe in god myself, but i do believe we are not alone out there and maybe some other beings had a role in our being here (like where just some giant terrarium) but even if thats true, where did they come from? this stuff can get irritating. lol. im guessing everything here was made form space dust...

sometimes i wish i was someones pet, no responsiblitys and bs to put up, no job or bills. but then no fast cars, hot women or cold beer. its a trade that i can sometimes justify doing if it were possible. lmao

WOW, that was way too deep for me

Ok, before I start I would just like to make 1 point. You have said and are still using the "shoved down my throat" line against religion. And thats fine, I buy that, a saying that I use as a Christian is, "anything I can talk you into, someone else can talk you out of", so I dont really prescribe to shoving anything down peoples throat, I believe in leading by example, just like Christ did. But to be honest your last few lines about Del's views and mine, quite frankly sound like your doing a bit of "shoving". You are taking a posistion of power here in telling us what you know and what you think is right. And I really dont think that you are the one who knows what you are talking about. First of all, there is a big difference between translations, and interpretations. I would agree that there are different ways to interpret some things in the Bible, there are however some things that are said that cannot be misunderstood. Jesus said them that way for a reason. And I think its funny how you can put yourself on the offensive and say "or are you reading the Bilble wrong too?" I mean I'm no Bible genius, but I read it every single day, multiple times, and I study it, because my faith rest on it. How often do you read it? I'm not saying you have to, but I am saying before you challenge others on thier Bible aptitude, figure out if you have anything to stand on.
As for your statement about God always existing, and how you think thats crap, and that we should just be able to accept the universe always existing. I want you to notice what you are saying because while there are many who believe in evolution, not all share the theory you just gave. In fact a good amount don't because it violates the laws of thermodynamics. So that means if you believe that, and others evolutionist dont can I use your argument and say, since you dont all agree on the same things in the theory of evolution that I can conclude that you are all false, and you can even get your own crap together so dont come shoving evolution down my throat? Also your statement about how much has be discovered in the last 100 years, who knows what will be discovered in the next 100 years that can support your theory...so what your telling me is you have faith that although you dont have all the facts in something, you will believe it anyway because you believe that facts will come?
Remember if you are arguing from the posistion that the theory of evolution is true, thats fine. But know that this is not some sort of default posisition.

How many Bible Bashers have read the book?

You dont have to be a Christian to read it ya know...After all it IS a book!

I agree 100%, and I never said that anyone didnt read it, I just asked because he was quick to point out things that he thought were incorrect about it, and what others thought of it, and just wanted to know how knowledgable he was on the subject. Your statement is unfortunately true, it's not something that I like, but the facts support your statement. I do wish that more people (especially those who claim to believe in it) would read it.

How does evolution violate the laws of thermodynamics?
